All Kinds of Limbo
STUDIO — All Seeing Eye
CLIENT — National Theatre
All Kinds of Limbo is a 6DOF VR experience for the Oculus Quest directed by Toby Coffey of the National Theatre, which allows an audience of 20 people to watch a performance by Nubiya Brandon with music by Raffy bushman, inspired by the influence of West Indian culture on UK music.
During the experience, each member of the audience is represented by a glowing column of light and is able to move around the installation freely to view Nubia perform from any angle as she takes them on a journey through classical, grime, reggae and calypso.
Nubiya’s ten minute performance was captured volumetrically specifically for the experience at Dimension Studios before other band members and further digital set elements were added.
All Kinds of Limbo has been showcased at the National Theare, Sundance Film Festival and the Tate Modern.
I worked on the project as a producer, helping to creatively develop the project ahead of it’s run at Sundance.
